The cardamom really leads here, which is exactly what I want in a chai. I steeped it five minutes with a splash of milk and it stayed bold instead of turning watery.

I was worried the fennel would make it taste like licorice candy, but it just adds this subtle sweetness behind the cloves and peppercorn. Steeped it five minutes with a splash of milk and it's the boldest cup I've had all winter.

The cardamom is front and center here, way more than most chai blends I've tried. I let it steep about five minutes with a splash of milk and it came out strong without turning bitter.
