Pu-erh

I've been drinking this every morning instead of coffee and the deep, almost mushroom-like earthiness is addictive. It brews up dark and thick, and I can usually get three good steeps out of the same leaves before it fades.

The earthy punch is exactly what I hoped for—deep and almost mushroomy, like the forest floor in the best way. A single cup steeps dark enough to remind me of the fermented black tea base, and it lingers pleasantly. This has become my go-to for a slow afternoon reset.

I’ve been brewing this after dinner every night and the earthy depth just gets better with each steep — it’s bold without being bitter. The post-fermented character really comes through, exactly the rich red tea profile I was hoping for.
