Laranja sanguínea

The brisk brightness is exactly what I need in the morning — the black tea base is sturdy and the blood orange flavor tastes natural, not syrupy. Steeps up a lovely amber cup and wakes me right up.

I was worried the safflower petals were just decorative, but they actually add this faint floral note that keeps the orange from tasting like candy. Steeped it four minutes and it stayed brisk instead of turning bitter, which is more than I can say for most flavored blacks I've tried.

I steeped this for about three minutes and the citrus hit before I even lifted the cup. The safflower petals make it look pretty in the glass too, which I wasn't expecting. Been drinking it every morning instead of coffee this week.
