I've been drinking this every morning for a week now and it's a proper wake-up cup — malty and strong enough that I actually notice if I skip it. The full leaves unfurl nicely in my teapot and one spoonful goes a long way.

First steep this morning and the liquor came out almost black, exactly the kick I need before dealing with emails. The maltiness is deep and stays bold even after I added a splash of milk, so it'll definitely be my go-to for a strong breakfast cup.

Steeped a pot this morning and the cup was exactly the kind of strong, satisfying kick I needed before the day went sideways. The leaves are nice and whole, and they hold up for a second steeping that’s still plenty dark. This one’s going on the regular rotation.
